Half Day Outpatient Treatment for Adults
For patients who are lower risk or no longer require the full day of programming that our Partial Hospitalization Program offers, the adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Branches Dunwoody is a half day program that assists adults dealing with psychiatric issues as well as those with a combination of mental health and substance abuse issues.
The half day adult IOP offers the same set of experienced nurses, therapists and counselors as our other programs for adults. The program offers more flexibility and independence for adult patients who’ve continued to progress in their treatment goals, but still need more care and oversight than is provided by typical outpatient counseling. IOP patients meet daily 9 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. at our behavioral healthcare hospital.
Adult Dual Diagnosis Services
Located just north of downtown Atlanta, Georgia, Peachford Hospital’s Dual Diagnosis Program is designed to meet the needs of adults who have both primary psychiatric disorders and struggle with a substance use issue. Based on evidence based treatment and prevention models, our adult intensive outpatient treatment offers immediate access to a structured environment and offers assistance in beginning and maintaining recovery.
What is Dual Diagnosis treatment?
Dual Diagnosis treatment is for co-occurring disorders, or a mental health disorder and substance use disorder at the same time. A mental health issue can often be the root cause of an addiction, and treatment programs that do not address both needs can often fall short of getting a patient the help they need.
Some benefits of dual diagnosis include:
- Substance use treatment
- Mental health treatment
- Individual therapy
- Group therapy
- Medication management
