The safety and security of the patient comes first in Peachford’s Adult Acute Inpatient Program. Through an intensive therapeutic structure, we provide medical and psychiatric stabilization and 24-hour nursing care for patients experiencing critical symptoms. A comprehensive treatment approach is employed to stabilize acute psychiatric and addictive disease issues in adults of all ages.
Our multidisciplinary treatment team of physicians, nurses, activities therapists and social workers collaborate to create a safe and structured environment that offers compassion and hope to patients in crisis.
The ultimate goal of treatment is to stabilize the immediate crisis and to enable the patient to return to their community with tools and skills for personal and emotional development, relationship building and independence. An individualized treatment plan is initiated with a special emphasis placed on medication management, group and family therapy, education and relapse prevention.
Creating a discharge plan from the very beginning is a priority so each patient can meet their goals. When the staff and patient work together by identifying and coordinating community resource support as well as aftercare services, the need for future hospitalization decreases.
