Peachford Hospital provides inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and electroconvulsive therapy services to adults, ages 18 and older experiencing a behavioral health crisis or substance abuse addiction.
Adult Treatment Components
Treatment for each adult is administered by a multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals led by a psychiatrist. Team members may include:
- internal medicine physician
- social Workers
- case managers
- activity therapists
- substance abuse counselors
The treatment process begins with a comprehensive evaluation to help diagnose any underlying medical or biochemical origins of disease. An individualized plan of care is written to meet the special needs of each patient.

Today, alcohol and drug dependencies are recognized as life-threatening diseases and Peachford’s philosophy regards them as treatable medical illnesses. Emphasis is placed on learning relapse prevention skills. Discharge meetings are held with family and, if appropriate, employers to strengthen patients on their road to recovery.
