Dr. Slovis received his medical degree from the University of the East. Prior to completing his degree, he did one year of research at the National Institute of Mental Health. He continued his training at Emory University with a one year psychiatric internship and a two year internal medicine residency.
Dr. Slovis has been the staff internal medicine physician at Peachford Hospital for 24 years. He has also held the position as Section Chief of Internal Medicine at Anchor Hospital and served as a consultant for Laurel Heights Hospital. He is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Slovis is a member of the American Medical Association of Georgia and has held positions as Chairman of Infection Control, Member of Pharmacy and Therapeutics and Adult Services for Peachford Hospital.
